Darling Agency, New York, was named the first agency of record for Freshpet, a manufacturer and marketer of fresh, refrigerated dog and cat food. Previous advertising was handled in-house and on a
project basis. A $16 million budget will go to television, print, digital and outdoor advertising. First work, focusing on the quality of Freshpet's ingredients, will break in April.
