JCPenney Unwraps Its Big And Tall Concept

  • April 29, 2011
JCPenney, which announced its plans to roll out a 300-unit big & tall store for men late last year, has taken the wraps off The Foundry Big & Tall Supply Co., inspired by the look of a microbrewery. "With flat screen TVs tuned to sports, an oversized poker table and comfortable seating, The Foundry Big & Tall Supply Co. stores offer customers a hip, yet unpretentious atmosphere where they can relax, enjoy themselves and shop some of the biggest names in menswear - in sizes that fit," the company explains in its release. The store and its website boast an extensive collection of brand-name menswear, from Levi's and Nike to Calvin Klein and Cole Haan. The first 10 are scheduled to open in the Dallas and Kansas City markets, with plans to expand 100 stores around the country by 2013, reaching a total of 300 stores over the next five years.
