In its continuing effort to play catch-up to the nearly ubiquitous iPhone and Google smartphones, Research In Motion announced its new BlackBerry Bold smartphone will include a touchscreen and
processing power surpassing its previous iPhone competitor, the Torch.
The Bold is the model most often used by RIM's core business market. It will have a 2.80inc screen and will retain the
QWERTY keyboard as well as the touchscreen interface. The device will also have a Near Field Communication chip, allowing the device to be used as a mobile wallet.
