Verizon has only had the iPhone 4 for a few months, but they still account for nearly one-third of the devices in use today.
According to Localytics, Verizon accounts for 32% of the iPhones in use, despite only getting access to the device in February. AT&T, which had an 8-month lead on the
device, accounts for the remaining 68%.
More interestingly, Verizon's big jumps have come in the past two months, gaining 7% in market share in May and June. The jump may be attributable to
Verizon's highly publicized switch to tiered-pricing
plans for data, with many consumers trying to get an unlimited plan before the tiered plans went into effect, according to the site.
