Courtin Heads Branded Entertainment For Aegis Media

Former MTV and MySpace executive Angela Courtin will become the agency-wide senior branded entertainment executive of Aegis Media North America.

Courtin will work with clients for Aegis Media agencies Carat, Isobar, Vizeum, Posterscope, Epic and iProspect. She will carry the title of executive vice president of content and convergence. Nigel Morris, CEO of Aegis Media Americas, said Courtin possesses a "keen understanding of the new models of content production and distribution, as well as high-level marketing and data expertise."

Morris called content "one of the key areas of change in our industry and drivers of convergence; consequently, brands are looking to produce and align themselves with different forms of content in new and innovative ways."

Courtin was most recently co-head of Integrated Marketing for MTV Networks, where she oversaw all marketing across all MTV brands -- channels and related Web sites. Before MTV, she was the head of marketing, entertainment and content at MySpace.

Courtin's experience also includes serving as associate producer on HBO's "Big Love" and in a development position at Knollwood Productions. Before HBO, she was vice president of MTV's "Rock the Vote."
