Old Navy will enter the multibillion-dollar sports apparel and merchandising business with a Super Fan Nation stores-within-stores program at about 1,000 locations across the U.S.
The
stores will sell branded goods of more than 70 Division I schools, as well as National Football League teams. The Gap division is supporting the effort with a seven-figure campaign that will include
advertising at college stadiums and arenas, in-store appearances by college bands, cheerleaders and mascots, and a 10-day national television advertising campaign.
