Grey Goose Sponsors U.S. Open

  • August 29, 2011
Grey Goose is returning for a fifth year as a promotional partner for the 2011 US Open Tennis Championships.

The Bacardi-owned spirits maker is bringing back the Grey Goose Honey Deuce cocktail, which will be available for purchase in souvenir cups featuring previous US Open champions at select bars on premise throughout the tournament.

Grey Goose has commissioned an eight-foot tall replica of the cocktail's souvenir cup filled with official US Open tennis balls, a nod to the honeydew melon balls that are a staple of the fan favorite libation. Guests (ages 21+) attending the US Open can guess the number of tennis balls in the cup and text-to-win an exclusive Grey Goose keepsake from Aug. 30 through Sept. 11.

Bacard is headquartered in Hamilton, Bermuda, while its U.S. headquarters is in Coral Gables, Fla. The company acquired the French-made vodka in 2004.--Tanya Irwin
