An Arab news channel will debut in 2012, owned by Prince Alwaleed Bin Talal Bin Abdulaziz Alsaud, who is also the second-largest shareholder in News Corp. Alarab will be the name of his international
news channel, which will be managed by Jamal Ahmad Khashoggi. It targets Arabic-speaking viewers across the Arab world, focusing on political, social and economic issues in Saudi Arabia and the
region. Alarab also has an agreement with Bloomberg LP, which will supply five hours of financial and economic news programming on the channel daily, as well as features on Arab business leaders.
