Nike is readying the LeBron 9, which it says is its first basketball shoe to combine its Flywire technology and Hyperfuse construction, launching in the U.S. October 15 in a limited edition "Cannon"
colorway. (Select college colors will be available beginning October 14, and the primary black/red/white model on October 25.) This will be the first LeBron james shoe offered on its NIKEiD.com site,
with previews slated to begin Oct. 9. As part of the launch, the shoe will be crossmarketed with the videogame NBA 2K12, from 2K Sports.
