Brazil's Ministry for Women wants to pull a television ad for Hope lingerie featuring model Gisele Bundchen. The ads have her apologizing to her boyfriend for things like wrecking his car, first in
clothes, then in sexy lingerie. The Ministry says "Hope" reinforces the stereotype of women as sex objects and "ignores the progress made in ending sexist practices ... It also represents
discrimination against women."
In a statement, the lingerie company's director, Sandra Chayo, said the campaign is not intended to be sexist.
