Grand Marnier Facebook Program To Aid 3 Charities

  • December 2, 2011

Grand Marnier has launched a Facebook-based "Grand Giving Tree" holidays program benefitting charities and also giving participants a chance to win $1,000.

On the spirit's Facebook page, users can select a virtual holiday ornament representing one of three charities: the World Wildlife Fund, WaterAid America (dedicated to improving access to safe water, sanitation and hygiene in the world's poorest countries), or Cool Earth (helps indigenous communities halt deforestation one village at a time).

The charity that has the most ornaments by Dec. 31 will receive a $10,000 donation from Grand Marnier. In addition, the brand will make donations of $2,500 to the other two charities.

Participants are entered in the $1,000 sweeps. Participation does not require liking Grand Marnier's Facebook page, but does require permission for the brand to access profile data and receive email from the Giving Tree program.
