Customer Acquisition Via Email May Get Harder

Growing an email list has always been a trouble spot and that may be posing a greater problem going forward, according to Connection Engine's Eric Kirby.

“Email as applied to new customer acquisition has always disappointed,” he said.

Now, as direct mail loses effectiveness, there will be a demand to look at other channels to help bring in new customers. Email will be called on for that and its long-time struggles there may be highlighted, Kirby said.
