comScore: Holiday Online Spending Surpasses $37B

Retail e-commerce spending for entire 2011 holiday season spanning November and December reached $37.2 billion, a 15% increase versus last year and an all-time record for the season, according a comScore release today. The increase was in line with the Web research firm’s spending growth projection for the season. Ten individual shopping days surpassed the $1 billion mark, led by Cyber Monday—which ranked #1 for the second consecutive year—at $1.25 billion. Read more here.
