3 W+K Ads Earn Most-Awarded Status

Nike-Write-the-FutureThree of the six most-awarded TV commercials in the world last year were created by Wieden + Kennedy, according to the Gunn Report’s annual award compendium. W+K’s Amsterdam office created two of the top three-awarded spots, including first-place Nike’s “Write the Future” and Heineken’s “The Entrance,” which tied for second with Saatchi & Saatchi’s “Welcome Back” ad for T-Mobile.

W+K’s Portland office created the fourth-ranked spot, for Old Spice Body Wash, “Questions/Boat.”

Tied for fifth place were ads for Google Chrome (“Speed Tests”) from BBH/Google Creative Lab, New York and Volkswagen Passat's “The Force” from Deutsch LA/Lowe & Partners.

W+K’s Amsterdam and Portland offices were also the two most-awarded agencies last year. according to the report, which stated that this was the first time a single shop had taken the top two places on the list. Rounding out the top five were, AlmapBBDO Sao Paulo; Del Campo Nazca Saatchi & Saatchi Buenos Aires and Jung von Matt Hamburg-Berlin-Dortmund.

There was a three-way tie for most-awarded digital agency in the world among AKQA London, BBH New York and R/GA New York, with W+K Portland and Dentsu Tokyo rounding the top five.

BBDO won most-awarded agency network globally for the sixth year in a row, followed by, respectively: DDB, Ogilvy & Mather, Leo Burnett and W+K.
