MPG Snags MediaVest's Warren, Hopes To Make Some Rain

Joe-WarrenMPG has hired Joe Warren as executive vice president of client services, a new position, the agency has confirmed.

Warren joins the Havas-owned media shop from crosstown rival MediaVest, a unit of Publicis Groupe. At MediaVest, Warren was senior vice president group client director and managed its Kraft business, one of the agency’s most important accounts.

Two years ago, Warren’s team at the Publicis shop was credited with launching Kraft Foods One Team, the dedicated agency unit that combined the efforts of MediaVest and sibling agency Digitas to service the Kraft North America assignment. Last year, the client announced plans to split into two separate companies, a process it said it hopes to complete by the end of 2012.

In his new position, Warren is tasked with building new client relationships and strengthening existing ones.

Prior to MediaVest, Warren was executive vice president and managing director at Interpublic’s Universal McCann, where he had worldwide media director responsibilities for the agency’s Intel account. Before that, he was senior vice president and strategic planning director at WPP’s Mindshare, where he managed assignments for Samsung, SAP, Kodak, and MBNA.
