So You Have 150,00 Subscribers Who Are NOT Paying For The Daily, Right?

OMMA Tablet afternoon keynoter Greg Clayman is warming up his presentation on what his baby, News Corp.’s The Daily, has accomplished and learned in the year or so since it launched one of the most closely watched tablet native publications.

Dispensing with the obligatory, “What are your subs” question, Clayman said, “We’ve got about 250,000 monthly readers of The Daily.” Noting that the subscription price is 99-cents per week, he then pointed out that it currently has over 100,000 paid subscribers. Some quick math tells me that means about 150,000 people are not paying for it, which makes me wonder why the other ones are?
