CVS says it is pulling the plug on its 25-store Beauty 360 chain, reports Drugstore News.
In hindsight, it probably wasn’t the best timing: CVS introduced its Beauty
360 concept, a store focusing on upscale beauty products, back in November 2008, offering products aimed at both men and women, and included professionals to offer hand massages and minifacials. And
while they were located within CVS stores, customers were able to enter through a separate doorway.
“There have been many aspects of the Beauty 360 concept that were
positive,” the Woonsocket, R.I.-based chain told DN in a statement. “In the past four years, we have learned a great deal about our beauty customer through our experience, and
plan to apply many of these learnings to future enhancements.”
