UM Taps Kiernan As Global CMO

UM, the Interpublic Group media agency, has hired Eileen Kiernan to fill the newly created post of Global Chief Marketing Officer. Kiernan will have responsibility for the positioning of the UM brand and oversight of corporate communications, site development, agency social media strategy and internal communications. The 20-plus year industry veteran was most recently executive vice president, human experience strategy at Publicis Groupe’s MediaVest. Earlier, she held marketing positions at NBC Universal and Martha Stewart Omnimedia.
