Walmart is getting ready to woo millions of “Hunger Games” fan this weekend, kicking off some 2,000 themed parties at 11 Friday night. Actors from the film are scheduled to make guest appearances in Georgia, Texas, Florida, Arizona and California, and fans who purchase the DVD when it goes on sale at midnight will also get a pack of collectible trading cards. (A select number of randomly distributed packs will include an autographed card from one of the cast memebers.) And those who preorder the movie it the retailer’s website have a chance to win an invite to the premiere of the next installment, “The Hunger Games: Catching Fire.” A live Twitter party for fans is scheduled for Thursday.
