Men aren’t just dabbling in their good looks, they’re actually slathering: The NPD Group reports that sales of men’s skincare products have climbed 6% in the January to July period, with $45.5 million in sales.

Some 70% of men now say they buy some type of facial skincare products. The strongest growth in the category is in sets and kits, which are up 11% so far this year, body products, up 14%, sun protection, up 27%, and hair products, up 8%, reports the Port Washington, N.Y.-based market research company.

The two best selling products are both from Clinique, owned by Estee Lauder: Clinique’s Skin Supplies for Men Face Scrub, followed by Skin Supplies for Men: Lotion tube.
