Competitiveness Report," it was incorrectly reported that OMD was the No. 1 ranked global agency network by billings in 2011, according to a July 2012 report by RECMA. In fact, OMD was the
No. 1 global agency brand, per the report, but the No. 2 global agency network. In its evaluation of global agency networks, RECMA considers Starcom MediaVest Group -- including both the Starcom and
MediaVest agencies -- as one network and SMG was No. 1 in the global agency network category. Also, RECMA notes that the billings total cited for OMD in the story should have been reported as $34
billion, not $31 billion.
