It was suggested during OMMA at
SXSW Interactive that “Oreo Moment” would be the most commonly heard phrase from the stage over the course of SXSW.
So when we came across the Oreo book at the convention center we
figured we had stumbled across just that.
The interactive display featured a video screen where attendees, one at a time, would jump with a green screen behind them and within second be shown
in a a different SXSW environment, which they had to quickly guess the location.
This all while a walking Oreo Cookie watched on from the sidelines.
The attendee, who actually had
heard of parent company Mondelez, was not familiar with the ‘oreo moment’ theme. She said the display and competition was about the cookie.
