Unhappy with the response from Reebok regarding hip-hop lyrics that they say promote rape, women’s groups plan to protest the company’s New York store this week. UltraViolet, a group supporting women’s rights, says it has collected over 70,000 signatures from those who object to Reebok using rapper Rick Ross as a spokesperson.
In Ross’ new song, he brags about drugging a woman’s champagne, then having sex with her “and she ain’t even know it.” A spokesperson for Reebok, owned by Adidas, did not respond to inquiries.
