When TubeMogul raised money back in February, the company opened up an office in Tokyo, Japan. After announcing yesterday a $10 million second round of Series C funding, the company also announced the opening of an office in Beijing, China. The round of funding was led by SingTel Innov8, and TubeMogul wrote that the money will be used to accelerate "programmatic buying of video advertising throughout Asia."
The Beijing office will be headed by Director of Business Development Sven Rossbach. According to the release, Rossbach's responsibility is simply introducing the idea of programmatically buying video ads to Chinese brand marketers and publishers.
