Twitter on Thursday introduced a version of the microblogging service optimized for Android tablets. The landscape view allowing users to tap the screen expand tweets on the right side to show
photos, video and previews. Another top brings up full-screen views of media.
The new app also lets people run Twitter with another app at the same time, so someone can read tweets, for
example, while browsing the Web or streaming music or videos. It also includes a widget to bring Twitter content directly to a user’s tablet. “By logging in, you’ll see a more
personalized experience where you can interact by favoriting or retweeting right from the widget,” stated a Twitter blog post today.
On top of that, people can use new tools in the app to tweet color drawings or have fund adding
doodles to tweeted photos. That function also works with the S-Pen that comes with the Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1-2014 Edition Twitter for Android Tablets will first launch on today. It will soon be
available for other Samsung tablets as well.
