Sundance Channel claims to be the first TV channel to use innovative Adventr technology to stage an interactive digital storytelling ad campaign. Users will interact with an online pre-roll
ad, “Choose Your Own Adventure," and select various scenarios based on their preference. The promotion is pegged to the premiere new drama “The Returned,” which premieres Oct.
31. The first of three 30-second Sundance Channel pre-roll ads became available on Oct. 28 as part of a media buy with AOL and Videology, a video advertising platform for brands and media companies,
as well as on Sundance Channel’s Facebook page. The following two ad versions will be made available on Sundance Channel’s Facebook and Twitter platforms on Nov. 4. Users will be able to
select their story based on “life” or “death,” two central themes in the series.
