Ghost And SBTV Execs Named 'Ones To Watch' In "Guardian" Top 5 Young Digital Influencer's Lists

Executives from the new blogging service Ghost, and rap tv channel SBTV, are named in fifth and second place in a top 10 list of the most influential young people in digital media published by The Guardian.

The top ten featured mainly journalists and bloggers but Hannah Wolfe, CTO of Ghost, reached number five for providing the technology behind the new, simple-to-use blogging service.

Perhaps most of noteworthy for advertising executives was the second place awarded to the huge rising star in online youth television, Jamal Edwards. Eight years after receiving a camcorder as a Christmas present, the founder of rap YouTube channel, SBTV, is estimated to be worth £8m. His company would appear to be moving in to more mainstream music, having recently made a music video for Ed Sheeran.

Edwards was kept off the top spot by Yemini blogger and anti drone warfare campaigner, Farea al-Muslimi.

The top 30 list of digital influencers was compiled by interns at The Guardian as a means of giving Generation Y employees a chance to identify whom they believe are "the ones to watch" in digital media.
