'Innovation Project' E-Commerce Conference To Focus On Digital Payments

Security breaches, data theft, sketchy digital currencies -- it's been an action-packed year for e-commerce. All of which should give digital wonks and execs plenty to talk about at the payment industry's annual tech summit, "The Innovation Project," which kicks off on Wednesday at Harvard University.

Digital payments and online security experts will converge at Harvard's Annenberg Hall on March 19 and 20 to hash out issues ranging from cyber security to digital currency to mobile commerce. The event is sponsored by PYMNTS.com.

The conference will feature a wide range of speakers hailing from some of the world's largest credit-card issuers and banks to companies engaged in the emerging m-commerce space. High-profile names include Visa, MasterCard, Discover, Experian, JP Morgan, Bank of America, Fiserv, PayPal, PaySimple, LevelUp and PayNearMe.

The event will also host an expo at Harvard's Science Center showcasing tech start-ups focused on such areas as payment-security and m-commerce.

Participation in the conference is by invitation only. Those interested can visit theinnovationproject.com for details.
