TubeMogul is looking to ease viewability concerns by offering a video viewability reporting tool free of charge. The technology is powered by OpenVV.
The company claims it is the first to offer such a tool for free, noting that other ad servers charge for -- or at least bundle -- similar tools.
TubeMogul says it will work regardless of how the video ad is bought, whether it be direct with publishers or through RTB exchanges.
It’s a self-serve tool that requires advertisers to add a VAST or VPAID tag to their video ads. TubeMogul says the offering can work side-by-side with an advertiser's existing reporting tools from other ad servers.
