Forbes On Newsstands Now, Literally: Extends License To Retail

Forbes Media continues its aggressive licensing program, adding to its real estate portfolio in a very appropriate way for the magazine legacy publishing company: With a chain of Forbes-licensed newsstands.

The agreement with Atlanta-based airport retailer Paradies will open Forbes-branded magazine newsstands in four airports in North America, the first of which, the Detroit Metropolitan Wayne County Airport's (DTW) McNamara Terminal, is pictured here.

Additional stores will open at Washington Reagan and Washington Dulles in April.

The Forbes Travel Stores will offer magazines, books, food and personal products, plus Forbes news on-the-go via interactive touchscreen computers and videos.

“In-store televisions will air programs from the Forbes video network,” the company said, adding, “Interactive technology stations will allow customers the ability to peruse Forbes.com for breaking stories and market updates, and interactive promotions throughout the year will highlight the most anticipated Forbes magazine issues.”
