A Nielsen study suggests one-quarter of TV viewers report they became more aware of TV programs in 2013, compared with the prior year, due to social media interactions. In fact, 15% of viewers said
they enjoyed watching television more when social media was involved. Some 11% attributed social media to watching more live TV, and 12% said they recorded more programs in 2013 alone. The study
doesn't tell us the percentage of TV watchers who searches for content related to the programming or advertisements.
