Advertising provides £187 worth of media, culture and sport to each UK household every year, according to a report commissioned by the Advertising Association. The report examined advertising on television, radio, online services, newspapers and magazines. Between them the AA and Warc estimate these industries benefited from GBP14.337 billion of adspend in 2013 (AA/Warc Expenditure Report). The report estimates the total individual value attributed to advertising is GBP9.4 billion.
