Oh look! Another entity which promises to hook up creative with agencies. No one's ever done this before, now, have they? Anyway, David Perez -- with help from Venables, Bell & Partners -- has
launched The Perezidency. Yeah, cute name. It's a San Francisco-based talent consultancy that -- akin to agency search firms for brands -- helps connect creatives with agencies as well as brands and
start-ups.
Perez, who for the last two years served as recruiting director for Venables, Bell & Partners, opened his consultancy February 10 with Venables as his first client.
Of Perez's ability to match talent with agencies and brands, VB&P Head of Talent Mary Johnstone said: “His placements are thoughtful and he digs in to know the soul of the agency to
create long lasting hires that truly fit into our culture. I'm so happy to continue to work with him as he starts the Perezidency. He'll have such a unique offering and I'm looking forward to
witnessing how hugely successful his company will be”
He is well loved by those at VB&P and has an extensive collection of experience in the ad business. Perez joined VB&P
from AKQA, where he most recently led the creative recruiting efforts of the agency’s San Francisco and Portland offices. Prior to AKQA, Perez was a creative recruiter for Leo Burnett, staffing
their offices in Chicago, New York and Los Angeles. Perez hosted a Twitter-fueled video series entitled #askdavid, as well as the infamous social experiment David On Demand. These endeavors earned
recognition from the One Show, Won @ Epica, Eurobest, ADDY Awards, Young Guns and Communication Arts
