Accordant Media, an independent trading desk, has announced the opening of a new office in Chicago. The company has also made two appointments to help build out its new midwestern hub.
Accordant has tapped Craig Johnson as group account director. Per a release, he will help lead business development and client services in Chicago. Johnson was formerly with ZenithOptimedia. Prior to that, he was with Omnicom.
Jon Espejo has also joined the company as VP of optimization. He will also be based in the new Chicago office. Espejo was formerly director of programmatic buying processes and technology at Accuen.
“Chicago has been a quickly growing market for us,” stated Arthur Muldoon, CEO and co-founder of Accordant. He said the company plans to have 15 employees based in Chicago by 2016.
Accordant is headquartered in New York, and the Chicago office is their third in the U.S. The company also has offices in San Francisco and London.
