CBSN Now Available On Android Devices

CBSN, the network’s interactive streaming news service, is now available as part of a new CBS News app for Android. It's available today from Google Play.

When the network launched CBSN in November 2014, it said it would be available on Android devices by the end of that year, so this is a late step. CBSN is already available on Apple devices, Roku players, and Amazon Fire and otherwise online.

CBS said the new Android app includes “intuitive, customizable pop-out navigation," bigger headlines and font sizes. It also has a “quick read” feature that offers a story preview before the full story launches, expanded on-demand offerings of CBS News programs, and ways to share  stories on Twitter, Facebook pages or via email.

At GooglePlay, users might be momentarily confused by CBSN, another app operated by ZRoad, a Korean company.

CBSN is available within the CBS News app.
