Publicis’ Starcom MediaVest Group has named long-time marketing vet Kim Kadlec president of GNC Americas, a new role that places her in charge of the American operations of the media
agency’s Global Network Client (GNC) practice.
Kadlec joins SMG from AOL, where she was global head of strategic partnerships. Prior to AOL, Kadlec was worldwide vice president
of the Global Marketing Group at Johnson & Johnson.
Earlier in her career, she held marketing roles at NBCUniversal and News Corp., and began her career on the agency side at
Backer & Spielvogel.
Kadlec will be based in New York and will report to SMG Global CEO Laura Desmond.
In a related move, SMG promoted Jodie Stranger to president, GNC EMEA
and said a search is underway for a president of GNC Asia-Pacific. Stranger was most recently executive director of global network client operations for SMG’s EMEA region. She will continue to
be based in London and will report to John Sheehy, president-global operations.
