JIM NELSON:GQ

JIM NELSON, executive editor of GQ, has been named editor in chief, succeeding ART COOPER. The move follows the announcement last month of Cooper's retirement after 20 years at the helm. Nelson has been an editor at GQ for the past six years. He first joined company as senior editor. Previously, Nelson was an editor at Harper's, where he was responsible for the Readings section.
