Andy Bird Lands At Publicis NA As CCO

Andy Bird is jumping The Pond to become chief creative officer at Publicis Worldwide North America's New York office. He will report to North America CEO Andrew Bruce and replaces Rob Feakins, who departed as CCO of Publicis Kaplan Thaler last fall.

Bird is currently executive creative director, Publicis London, and will continue to serve in that role helping to lead creative vision for key global clients during a transition period. Before he permanently moves to New York in September, Bird will split his time between London and New York to ensure a smooth transition.

Publicis' North America footprint has been a key focus for the holding company. Over the past 18 months, Bruce and Publicis Worldwide North America Chairman, Susan Gianinno, have added top talent including: Chief Strategy Officer Carla Serrano, Chief Digital Officer Dawn Winchester and Chief Marketing Officer Julie Levin. Bird now completes the senior leadership team.

“Andy is a shining star within the Publicis Worldwide network," says Arthur Sadoun, CEO, Publicis Worldwide. "With his strong creative teams, he has taken the creative level of work to another level and scaled it to achieve incredible international recognition. We are very happy that his role is growing into one that is more globally facing and that such a great talent remains within our family.”

Bird joined Publicis London as ECD in July 2012. During his career he has won a pocketful of awards including Cannes Lions and D&AD pencils for clients such as American Express, Mattel, Levi's, Dockers, Boddingtons, Lynx and Audi. He was also the creative behind the highly acclaimed Kick Homophobia out of Football campaign.

Andrew Bruce, Publicis CEO, North America, said: "In Andy resides a leader who cares deeply about the brand and business impact of the work. And the people whom contribute to its development. His collaborative and open-minded spirit will make working alongside him incredibly inspiring and rewarding. He is the missing piece in our North America team and we're thrilled to welcome him aboard."
