Daily Mail Hit By Ad Slowdown

The owner of the Daily Mail has warned of a marked deterioration in print advertising, which has slumped by 15 per cent at the newspaper in the past three months. MailOnline has also seen its previously rapid growth in advertising sales slow to 8 percent over the period, against a 49 percent increase for the same period three months a year ago. Advertising at the world’s biggest English language online newspaper climbed by only GBP1 million in the past quarter compared with a GBP5 million increase for the same quarter last year.
