Professionals with families are moving further from their workplaces, shifting the boundaries of suburbs into rural areas – ‘ruburbs’ – and creating new types of
consumers with a taste for country life on a city salary. Families have long sought to get more for their money by swapping urban living for life in the suburbs. Thanks to
increasing digital connectivity and better commuting options, however, the suburbs are spreading into rural areas, creating the new phenomenon of ‘ruburbs’, according to Experian.
