Former NBCU Exec Curtis Becomes Quantcast's First Global Partnerships Director

Paul Curtis has taken on the newly created global partnerships director position at Quantcast, a technology company specializing in programmatic advertising and audience measurement.

He left his previous position as VP commercial strategy at NBC Universal, UK, which he held for more than six years.

The new position was created specifically for Curtis as Quantcast grows its global presence. This summer, the company announced its global team had more than 600 employees and doubled its EMEA customer base.

“I’ve been in the ad industry for almost three decades, and the inflection point we have now reached is explosive,” Curtis said. “More than 90% of industry practitioners, according to the IAB Europe, will increase their programmatic investments over the coming year."

Curtis will lead Quantcast’s engagement with advertisers and agencies to scale and hopes to reach new audiences through real-time digital advertising.

Phil Macaulay, Europe managing director at Quantcast, said Curtis will support advertisers and agencies to grow digital ad opportunity.

“The digital industry has now reached a new stage of maturation, and Paul brings unmatched industry expertise, having first-hand led the transition to digital advertising at major brands including Sky, Viacom and NBC Universal,” Macaulay said.

Curtis was responsible for nearly a dozen strategic partnerships for NBC Universal's UK portfolio of TV channels, worth over a quarter of a billion US dollars, including Sci Fi, Hallmark Channel, Movies 24 and Diva TV. Before that, he worked at BskyB media as deputy managing director and led MTV Networks Europe – Viacom Brand Solutions.
