Campaign Monitor on Tuesday announced the native integration of GetFeedback's survey software into its email marketing platform.
Email marketers can now collect customer feedback with branded, mobile-ready surveys that plug into any email with an easy-to-use drag-and-drop feature. The company also provides sample surveys and templates for its customers to use.
“Email marketing and online surveys go hand in hand,” says Kraig Swensrud, CMO at Campaign Monitor. “Surveys are the premiere way that companies listen to their customers.”
Today’s announcement stems from Campaign Monitor’s acquisition of GetFeedback a year ago. GetFeedback has since grown significantly and tripled its revenue and employees. Its current client list contains big name brands such as Nike, Facebook, and Virgin.
Swensrud cofounded GetFeedback and joined the Campaign Monitor team after the acquisition. He points to automated, mobile-ready survey solution for marketers as the key to the company's success.
“Companies recognize that the world has changed,” he says. “Everything is different on a phone, and you touch the screen with your fingers instead of a precise click of the mouse. Email is read more than half of the time on a phone, and that product experience had to be great if you want to interact with customers.”
Swensrud recommends that email marketers keep their survey designs short, visual and optimized for any mobile device to guarantee a better survey experience for their customers. The key at the end of the day is customer service, he says.
“Remember: you’re not paying them, you’re asking for a favor,” advises Swensrud. “Respect the customer. Respect their time. Respect their experience.”
