Papa John's Goes Drug-Free For Chickens

Papa John’s has announced plans to only source chickens raised on vegetarian diets and without antibiotics. the company uses chicken both as a chicken topping and in “chicken poppers,” but the company said today that by summer 2016 these would both come from drug-free chickens. How about Papa John’s chicken wings? In a statement to Consumerist, Sean Muldoon, Senior VP of Research and Development with Papa John’s, explains that “Our immediate focus was on our grilled chicken pizza toppings and chicken poppers, but we’re also in the process of working on our wings — there are complexities that make the timeline longer.”
