Here Are 13 Predicted Ad Trends That Never Happened In 2015

Over at The Wall Street Journal, Mike Shields has rounded up 13 media and advertising predictions that were made in 2015 but never actually happened. Most are not surprising, since predictions are more like wishes than anything actually grounded in truth. 

A few of the predictions and trends that have not yet happened include programmatic TV becoming a thing, Twitter finally figuring out who it wants to be, Apple finally cracking the TV model, ad fraud being eradicated, and that all ad agencies will die.

    Yet exactly the same predictions are being made for 2016 and will be repeated for 2017, etc. so long as gullable people will listen and nod their heads as if they are credible.
