T-Mobile Sponsors 3 Inc. Covers

With the first stop in Inc. magazine’s annual Iconic conference tour coming up in Seattle on April 5, T-Mobile is once again combining its event sponsorship with a major presence in the print magazine.

That includes an unusual three-in-one multi-cover highlighting entrepreneurs presenting at the conference, which explores the democratization of small business. The conference is co-presented by Inc. with CNBC.

The special combination cover consists of three consecutive covers touting Iconic and people transforming the world of small business, with T-Mobile messages on the inside left page of every cover.

The individual covers feature the Collison brothers, founders of Stripe, a platform that offers online payment and e-commerce capabilities to all businesses, regardless of size and technical capability; Danae Ringlemann, founder of small business crowdfunding service IndieGogo; and Michelle Phan, who won fame on YouTube with beauty advice before starting her own beauty sampling company, Ipsy. She advises other aspiring social media stars on creating their own brands.

The covers will be rotated on newsstands to ensure exposure for all the subjects, according to Inc. magazine’s associate publisher for marketing, Jennifer Henkus.

After kicking off in T-Mobile’s hometown of Seattle, two other events will follow in Denver and Boston in June and September, respectively. All three events are sponsored by T-Mobile and co-presented by Inc. and CNBC.

The choice of locations is quite deliberate, according to Henkus, who noted: “They’re not huge markets, but markets where entrepreneurship is budding and really essential to the economic landscape, helping keep these cities vibrant.”
