SapientNitro Celebrates Easter With VR Egg Hunt

Though not as popular as the holiday season when it comes to ad agencies stretching their creative muscles for creativity's sake, Easter - kind of like the Academy Awards wanting Super Bowl-ish ad fame -- holds its own as holiday-as-excuse-to-be-creative motivation for agencies.

This Easter, SapientNitro has developed a virtual reality game, a browser-based desktop and mobile experience called, appropriately, Egg Hunt

In the game, players peer around a virtual 360 environment, set inside SapientNitro’s London office at Eden House. Players can tilt their phones to catch silver eggs. There's also a competition where players can post a screen shot of their score page to Twitter for a chance to win an Easter surprise, using the hashtag #SNEggHunt. A winner will be randomly selected on Tuesday March 29th. So get playing!

The agency tells us the game demonstrates how some of the functionality that’s prevalent in apps is actually achievable inside a browser without having to resort to native app development and showcases the kind of things SapientNitro are able to develop for clients.

Of the game, SapientNitro Lead Creative Technologist Mark Caswell-Daniels said, “We’re always looking to show clients how they can utilize technology and innovate in their approach to marketing. Egg Hunt is a fun way for us to showcase how clients can combine 360 photography and VR in a simple mobile browser – using innovation in a playful way."
