CYNDI STIVERS, president and editor in chief of Time Out New York, has been elected president of the American Society of Magazine Editors. SUSAN UNGARO, the editor in chief of Family Circle magazine, has been elected vice president. MARK WHITAKER, editor of Newsweek, has been elected secretary/treasurer. ROBERTA MYERS, the editor in chief of Elle, and EMIL WILBEKIN, the editor in chief of Vibe, have been elected to the board for two-year terms. JAMES W. SEYMORE, JR., the managing editor of Entertainment Weekly, has been appointed to serve out the term of a board member who resigned. The following have been re-elected to their second two-year term on the Board: RICHARD BABCOCK, editor of Chicago Magazine, MILLIE MARTINI BRATTEN, editor in chief of Bride's, DAVID GRANGER, editor in chief of Esquire, and ROBERT LOVE, managing editor at Rolling Stone.

DIANE M. SILBERSTEIN has been named publisher for Yahoo Internet Life magazine. She was the senior vice president and group publisher for Phase2Media.

PATRICIA CROCKER FRANCE has been named vice president of marketing for BusinessWeek. She was the vice president at Black Enterprise Magazine.

CHARLIE KAMMERER has been named Time magazine New York advertising director, after being with the magazine since January of 1996. NATHAN STAMOS has been named New York sales division manager of Time. He has been with the magazine since July of 1996.

BONNIE HAMMER has been promoted to president of the Sci-Fi Channel. She has been with the network in 1998, serving as executive vice president and general manager.

WAYNE POWERS has been named president of Media Networks Inc., a subsidiary of Time Inc. He was vice president of sales for MNI. BRENDAN CONDON has been promoted to executive vice president of MNI. He reviously served as vice president and general manager.

JOE A. CAMPANELLA III has been named the West coast regional sales manager and DAVID WADE has been named Eastern sales manager at Maxim Online. Campanella was last at BoxerJam Inc., where he managed the online advertising of the entertainment category. Wade was the national account manager for Streetmail.

JIM CRUTCHFIELD has been promoted from general manager of the Akron Beacon Journal to president and publisher.

ALEC GERSTER has been named chief executive officer of MediaCom Worldwide, a new holding company for the Mediacom media network assets of Grey Global Group. He was the chairman of the MediaCom network. ALEXANDER SCHMIDT-VOGEL has been named chief operating officer of MediaCom Worldwide after being vice chairman of the MediaCom network.

MERRI LEE KINGSLY has been named Eastern advertising director at Expedia Travels magazine. She was the travel, wine and spirits director of Bon Appétit. Also at Expedia, DENISE MILLER has been named promotions director after being senior marketing manager for Tennis, Cruising World, and Sailing World magazines.

SCOTT KERR will become the new vice president and director of media services at Stein Rogan + Partners after serving as vice president of marketing at Real Media.

THERESE GAMBA has been appointed vice president of marketing at TNN. She had previously served as a consultant working on the re-branding of TNN as a pop culture network.

JENNIFER LAY has been promoted to senior vice president and group media director at independent media management agency GRP Media. She had been the Midwest manager at Condé Nast Traveler.

MARC CRIMENI has assumed the positions of President, Chairman of the Board and CEO of iCall Systems, Inc. Crimeni's resume includes sales and marketing at Sydney Development Corp., Consumers Software, Inetco Systems and Microsoft Corporation of Redmond, Washington.

Martha Stewart Living Omnimedia, Inc. has appointed MARCIA E. MILLER as Publisher, Martha Stewart Weddings. Miller joined MSO in 1994, was previously the Associate Publisher for Martha Stewart Weddings.

YouthStream Media Networks has named DANIEL LEVI Vice President and General Manager of the Company's Out-of-Home Media Division. Levi had been Vice President, Licensing & Merchandising, of the MTV's Singapore-based Asian operation

PRIMEDIA has named JACK CONDON chief operating officer of its Business-to-Business Group's Intertec Publishing and Event Unit. Condon joins Intertec from Fairchild Publications, formerly a Capital Cities/ABC subsidiary of The Walt Disney Company, where he served for the last decade.

CATHERINE ZANELLI joins Invisible.Ink Corporation, a strategic web design agency based in Westbury, Long Island, NY, as Director of Business Development. Zanelli has has spearheaded sales teams for companies such as Trafficmac, The Mony Group, Venture Direct Worldwide, Interview Magazine and VH1, Viacom.
