An eMarketer article reports that according to July 2016 research, more than a quarter of U.S. internet users claim they've used an ad blocker on their desktop or laptop. In June, the Interactive
Advertising Bureau surveyed 1,292 U.S. internet users ages 18 and older about their experience with ad blockers. The data showed that the majority (37%) of respondents said they don't use an ad
blocker and don't plan to in the next sixth months. But another 26% said they do have an ad blocker on their desktop and laptop.
