Kantar Media’s Campaign Media Analysis Group (CMAG) has named Steve Passwaiter as general manager to oversee post-convention political ad spend tracking efforts.
Passwaiter, formerly serving as senior director of business development for CMAG, will now hold the title of vice president while leading the CMAG team.
He replaces Elizabeth Wilner who worked at CMAG for five years.
Andy Brown, CEO and chairman of Kantar Media, called Passwaiter "ideally suited" to head the company's political monitoring unit in the critical presidential election cycle post-convention.”
Passwaiter will be responsible for CMAG oversight and will lead business development efforts.
CMAG reports on ad spending and provides intelligence on political, advocacy and influencer campaigns. The unit works with candidates, campaigns, agencies, political parties, trade organizations, corporations, analysis and media firms.
