Brisk Runs Creative 'Accelerator' Contest For Hispanic Heritage Month

The Brisk iced tea brand is running a creative contest and “accelerator program” for National Hispanic Heritage Month.

To enter the #BriskMode contest (Sept. 15 - Oct. 7), consumers visit a dedicated Web site and submit a 30-second Instagram video featuring an original piece of art, music or fashion, using one of three specified hashtags. The video must explain how the entrant’s cultural heritage inspires his or her creativity.

Five winners will receive trips to Long Beach, California for ComplexCon (Nov. 5 - 6), the first festival and exhibition being hosted by the Complex site.

At the event, the winners will have access to cultural heavy-hitters, creatives and influencers; admission to roundtable discussions, listening sessions and musical performances; and backstage passes to the headlining performance on the main stage.

Professionals in the art, music and fashion fields — including eyewear designers Coco & Breezy (video screen grab above); music producer and Roc Nation executive Lenny Sentiago; En Noir menswear designer Rob Garcia; and calligrapher and creative director Aerosyn Lex — will be offering tips on the contest Web site.

Some of them will also join the contest winners at ComplexCon to conduct one-on-one mentorship sessions.

One winner each will be chosen from the art, music and fashion categories by one of the professionals participating in the program. Another winner from across the categories will be chosen by consumer voting, and the last winner will be randomly selected from the voter pool.
